This site contains information for educational purposes.
Much of the information here is not addressed by the insurance experts writing reports and conclusions on reported stolen vehicles, because it is information that does not fit their agenda.
We will give you an inside look as to the measures that you need to take when getting comprehensive insurance to protect you!
Recently, an opposing attorney attempted to exclude me on my experience of claims handling because I never directly worked as an employee of an insurance company.
The experience that I have taken for granted for 17 years having a direct repair shop on ONLY theft recovered, burned, vandalized and flood damaged vehicles, to numerous insurance companies, actually gave me more hands on experience than some estimators and claims people have.
We were the "eyes" for the insurance claims people. What we determined in damage was paid with no question. We did the estimates, we figured for betterment, diminished value etc. We located the parts. In other words we did everything the claims departments would normally do, but write the check.
Now, when you take this consideration with the fact that I was directly involved in the repair of more than 10,000 theft recoveries, it kind of gives you the impression that we might have more knowledge than the "Certified Forensic Locksmith" that commonly serves as an expert to examine a reported stolen vehicle as to how it was last operated.
Somewhere along the line, our courts were confused into thinking locksmithing has anything to do with the last operation of a reported stolen vehicle and how it was last entered. Examining the lock and keys is about 1/10th of the examination and there are far many other things to address that many locksmiths don't do. In other words, even if they performed the correct examination on the lock and keys, not going farther only give part of the story. The story that they tell the insurance company, in which the insurance company builds a case of assumed fraud on the insured's part, there by forcing the denial of a theft claim.
It is a common attack on me by insurance defense attorneys in deposition and in trial to make it appear that I do not like insurance companies. The truth of the matter is, that I do not appreciate the arrogant condescending way the insurance defense attorneys portray themselves with their questions. They try to appear as though they know more than I in the fields of auto theft and forensics without checking to see if their expert can back up his conclusions with fact. Commonly , they find late in the game their expert was not as perfect as he portrayed and then it is for the attorney to play the hand they are dealt and go to destroy the opposing expert (me) in order to deflect from the facts in the case regarding the vehicle.

I have nothing against any insurance companies and will assist them in combating fraud if it is proven to be present as it relates to the vehicle.
What I am doing when working for the innocent insured, I am combating fraud (in my opinion) as to those who hold themselves out to the insurance companies as experts in auto theft. The Certified forensic Locksmiths that would not know a stolen car if they were sitting in one! Yet they get paid to say anything to favor their insurance client! Yes, fraud may exist in a stolen car claim, but from my experience, that fraud is perpetrated by the Certified Forensic Locksmith.
In reality, these boys whom I have successfully opposed so many times have stolen a website. Lied by omission and taking my statements out of context to eliminate me. They are scared and they should be.
Our Mission
So often, forensic auto theft examinations are based on theory with heavy emphasis of the condition of the ignition lock. We strive for the highest quality examinations of the complete vehicle where all known hypotheses have been eliminated before reaching a conclusion far beyond the ignition lock.
To promote the strongest degree of ethics in our industry.
To give our client's the best work product possible.
To honestly report all facts related to the vehicle and it's components, leaving nothing out no matter who the final results favor.
